As an actress, director, producer, and philanthropist, it’s safe to say that Eva Longoria wears many hats. As she approaches a major milestone—turning 50—and celebrates 20 years as a L’Oréal Paris brand ambassador, Longoria is embracing the process of aging with enthusiasm and grace. Now, in an interview with Prevention, the star is shining a light on one of her go-to skincare products that helps her look and feel her best at any age: the L’Oréal Paris Revitalift 10% Pure Glycolic Acid Serum (which happens to be on sale right now!).
Longoria, a L’Oreal Paris partner, says that she is a big fan of “all of the skincare” in the L’Oréal Paris Revitalift line. “That’s one way I’ve shifted my beauty routine—I shifted it from makeup-focused to skincare-focused,” she tells Prevention.
“You can’t lay good makeup on bad skin. And so all of the Revitalift series—the serums, the hyaluronic acid, the glycolic acid, the vitamin C, the eye serum—I cannot live without my Revitalift series.”
The L’Oréal Paris Revitalift 10% Pure Glycolic Acid Serum is a staple in the star’s skincare routine and one that she says she uses at night. “For me, it smooths fine lines,” she says. In addition to the glycolic acid serum at night, she also uses the 1.5% Pure Hyaluronic Acid Serum from the same line each morning. After all, “I taught the world how to say hya-lur-on-ic,” Longoria laughs. “I use it in the morning. First, the serum, then my moisturizer, and then my makeup. So it’s definitely the basis of my skin.”
Longoria has been a champion of the brand for two decades and is a true believer in not only the beauty products that L’Oréal puts on the shelves but also in the brand’s values and initiatives. “The reason I’ve been with L’Oréal for 20 years is that we have the same ideals,” she explains, pointing to the brand’s signature philanthropic program, Women of Worth, as an example. She says it’s a true representation of the brand’s tagline, “Because You’re Worth It,” in that it helps uplift and recognize female changemakers in their communities, which are made up of “everyday women” that are not only “doing incredible things” but are “brave,” “courageous,” and “trailblazing,” Longoria explains. “I love that a company this big and with a global reach like L’Oréal is doing this with their platform.”
Though her relationship with beauty may have changed over the years, she remains excited about her relationship with L’Oréal and the evolution of the brand. Another thing Longoria is “excited about?” Her 50th birthday next month. “I think definitely there’s a weight to turning 50 in a good way,” she explains. “I don’t mind aging. I just want to age well. And I think I’ve done that. You know, I want to be the healthiest version [of myself] I can be.”
“So for me, it’s like ugh, I can’t wait. I’ve always been that way, though,” Longoria says. “I couldn’t wait to be 21, and then I couldn’t wait to be 30, and then I was like, ‘Oh my god, what do my 40s hold for me?’ I refuse to believe my greatest success is behind me.”
For Longoria, aging isn’t something to fear. It’s an exciting new chapter full of growth, wisdom—and, of course, radiant skin. Check out even more of her go-to skincare products below.
